Can a total beginner do a 200-hour yoga teacher training?
Yes. This is a foundations training, built to take you from a steady practice to standing at the front of a room. Most of your cohort will be right where you are. What you bring is commitment, not experience.
Do I need to be flexible?
Not at all. Flexibility is not a prerequisite for yoga. It's something you'll likely build over time. In our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training we teach you modifications for every pose, so wherever your body is right now is exactly where you begin.
How much yoga experience do I need before I join?
This training is open to all levels — there's no minimum experience required. A steady practice will help you get more from it, but it isn't a prerequisite. Some of our graduates arrived with only a casual practice. What matters most is your willingness to show up, work hard, and stay committed.
Can I take the training just to deepen my practice, without teaching?
Yes, and many people do. Some come to teach, others come to understand their practice more deeply. Wherever you're starting from, the training meets you there and gives you what you came for.
Is the training Yoga Alliance certified?
Yes. When you graduate, you'll be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200 and teach yoga anywhere in the world.
Will I be able to teach yoga after I graduate?
Yes. If, by the end of the 200 hours, you feel called to share yoga or teach professionally, you'll have the skills and the practice to go out into the world and teach.
What styles of yoga does the training cover?
The training is rooted in hatha, vinyasa, and power yoga. Practices like pranayama and meditation, along with other modalities, are woven in throughout.
What will I learn?
Asana and alignment, teaching methodology, functional anatomy, yoga philosophy, pranayama and meditation, and how to find your own voice as a teacher. The full curriculum is in the course guide.
How long is the training?
23 days, November 2–24, 2026, held on-site at The IN Movement in Nyuh Kuning, Ubud. It's a full immersion, with 1.5 days off each week for rest and integration.
How big are the groups?
Groups are capped at 30 students, so you're part of a real cohort while still getting the time and support you need.
Where do I stay during the training?
Accommodation isn't included, and that's on purpose. You stay where you like, at the budget that suits you, with the space to return home to at the end of each day. Nyuh Kuning is a quiet village walkable to central Ubud, with places to stay at every level, and we're happy to suggest options close to the studio.
What's included and excluded in the price?
Included: the 200-hour training and Yoga Alliance certification, a full course manual, mats and all props, 2 meals a day at INJoy, a rejuvenation session at our Recovery Center, a Balinese water blessing, and a traditional Balinese dinner with cultural performance. Not included: accommodation, flights, travel insurance, airport transfers, visas, and meals or excursions on days off.
How does payment work?
A Rp 17,900,000 deposit reserves your spot, with the balance of Rp 42,100,000 due one month before the training begins. All prices are quoted in Indonesian rupiah; international cards are accepted and your bank converts automatically. Payment plans are available — reach out and we'll find something that works for you.
What's your cancellation and refund policy?
Deposits are non-refundable, but they can be transferred in full to a future Yoga Teacher Training within one year of your original training date. If you've paid in full and can't transfer to another training: cancel at least 30 days before the start date and you'll receive a refund minus the Rp 17,900,000 deposit; cancel within 30 days of the start date and an additional cancellation fee applies — contact us and we'll confirm the exact amount. Partial attendance doesn't qualify for a refund. If a verified medical emergency comes up, you can retake the missed days in a future training of the same program, subject to availability and approval.
What happens after I graduate?
You leave a Yoga Alliance RYT-200, ready to teach. Many of our graduates go on to teach around the world, and some continue with our 300-hour advanced training on the path to their 500 hours.
