For me, that I could biggest takeaway is knowing what our core values are in our life and just having three that don't have to have these thousands of things that we're trying to remember. So my three core values is is first of all, Freedom, joy and balance and that's what I present to the world. That's what I'm that's part of my diamond. That's what I'm here for is.
I'm very much a freedom, freedom woman and freedom, you know, independent woman, but Not just about just being this Warrior person that needs to be on doing everything on your own. Like I do believe in collaboration and everything as well, but freedom for the audience, especially if they bring it into that light into their lives, it's about how do you create even things like location Independence?
You know, how do you create a business or life where you don't have to be stuck in one place, which is like something, very unique and different to those people that are teaching is to use, welcome to the going pro yoga podcast.
Namaste. My name is Paul. Chiodo joined here with Michael Henry. Most yoga teacher, trainings are becoming watered-down and mediocre. So we have created this podcast to help supplement those of you who graduated from a teacher training and don't feel confident going out into the real world. Michael, and I are lucky to have been trained by some amazing people.
We've gone out into the world ourselves and had success and we want you. You to feel confident to protect your students and to build your career with integrity and authenticity. Welcome to our podcast. What's up, everyone? This is Byron.
And today I'm elated ecstatic. So excited to introduce across the way one of my dear friends. Sharni Quinn. Well, who thank you so much Barn for having me on the show. I'm so excited to be here. Hmm. Yes, so I'm sure you guys are. During what is shiny doing on the show? Well, she's going to get into all of the juicy aspects of business.
Self-starter, business independent, you know, make it work for yourself, don't depend on anyone else, you know, I could probably throw in a lot of other things. We've had the pleasure of working on a training together. Recently, as she was an assistant on the waititi.
She's also been taking my classes a lot. I've been taking some of her yin yoga classes and we just really bonded over the past six months. And I'm just, yeah, I'm so glad you agreed to come in and you had some time today.
Well, I feel so honored to be here like the last few months getting to learn about what you guys have created with going pro. Just got me, really excited. And then when you invited me to come on to the training, which I think we only decided that, like, two weeks before the training, she started, and you would like to bring in some feminine. The into elements of Power Yoga and was so, just such a beautiful experience to be able to bring in that gentleness and airflow.
And like you said, just give everybody hugs every day. It's like I can do that. So I loved working with you guys on that. And yeah, I really believe in what you putting out into the world and what you've created and the platform the going pro pack platform is incredible.
So I want to do what I can to be able to support that and yeah, be part of what it is that you guys are. Creating out there. Thank you very much for the love. And before you get into kind of talking about who you are, where you come from, and all those interesting parts that make you who you are, just a little funny thing here. So her name is sharni Quinn, but when you say it real quick and especially in a South African accent, it sounds like she's saying shiny.
Queen a shady Queen. So I we even had one of the guys, in the students on the training. He thought that was your name. Yeah, at the end. He thought my name is. This is a recurring theme, totally like it's with the Balinese people here.
Obviously me living in body. They all think my name is shiny queen, or anybody. That's an expert and doesn't really understand my accent and I talk fast and it's like shiny green and it fits your personality so perfectly.
If you guys can see. Like, if I was just to give you a name, just randomly might be shiny. Queen. Thank you. I really do just accept that. People are calling me shiny queen and I embody it as much as possible. But as I got works for me, so I'm happy to be.
Yeah, being able to like really live with that labels. Well, let's let's just share with the audience, kind of who you are credibility wise, maybe some of the work you've done books, you've written any of that inch stuff that you you know, it's kind of your calling card.
Yeah. Well, I think the biggest Part of my journey is that I haven't always felt like a being a shiny Queen, you know, and that I feel like it's so important for people to realize is that when, you know, might meet me or we might meet somebody, you just in person and they've got a bubbly personality. And you know, it's lovely to experience that. But we don't always have to be positive in life. We don't always have to be putting out this Persona that everything's fine.
And for me, I've differently. On through the highs and lows of life. And it also comes with experience, you know, and you have to experience these things and I've been at rock bottom and that's where I feel like I can really give value to people and especially yoga teachers and people in the wellness industry because I've been in the industry for almost 15 years now, so I know what to do.
I know what differently in what not to do and just having that experience of living through it. And not only in the wellness industry, but in my own personal journey and laughs transformation in general. And so I feel like that really is something that I can bring to the world and I can share with the world, is The Rock Bottom moments that I've been through and then what really helped me get out of that.
And most of it was Yoga Yoga has been so healing for me. And can I go pathology and it allows you? So I think what might be interesting to know are these Exactly what you were. Just talking about these rock-bottom moments, like maybe Define that a little bit more for our audience. Yeah.
Sure. So in 2010 was I've kind of been through two major life, transmission experiences and like the asset has talked about the mini life, transformational experiences and more. Like I wanted to do leave. It's a the corporate world or the you know the job that wasn't really fulfilling me and then got into yoga like that for me wasn't made a transmission. So my to Big transformational experiences was when my health just fell apart.
And the first time was going through an emotional burnout. And that was when I had. Yeah, I was going through a divorce and my ex-husband was bipolar. So we had two years of really ups and downs, and it was a lot of emotional turmoil, and I was wanting to support him, you know, as much as possible, but in the end, it drained me completely. And I Had my Homeopathy saying to me if you don't start looking after yourself and taking better care of yourself. Then you're going to get type 2
diabetes because that's like the extent of how drained your body is. And I was such a giver, you know, and I was so focused on everybody else and making sure he was in a good space and he was well and this was I mean, I was already teaching you a go at the time.
So, you know, it was very much make everybody else healthy. Make everybody else happy and Was such a big lesson for me to learn to I need to also be looking after myself too. And so I went through major burnout and major Edwards is just extreme emotional distress, really and then went on a whole transformational journey from there.
And then that the Bernard happened again, and that was probably about. Yeah. A few while I was I think I was about six seven years later and that was more physical and mental burner. That. And that was because now I've got divorced. I don't need a man, you know, super independent woman creating all these Empires, Wellness businesses. I think I had three at the time of writing all these walnuts businesses and say I can do this on my own and then I was just doing too much.
So, you know, I loved what I did and I was taking care of myself. At that time. I was doing the yoga doing the meditation doing everything, but I was still giving and just being too busy. And so that was an emotional, was more than mental and And and physical, as I said, but that literally what it looked like is a, literally couldn't get up the one morning, and I couldn't stand up without feeling nauseous and fainting, and for someone who can normally do a
pretty, you know, Vanessa practice pretty easily. I couldn't even do one sunsalute without feeling like I was going to faint, so it really affected me physically. And that just had such an impact on my life and my business.
Because at the time I actually had to just let go of one business and I was such Such a brilliant business owner and I didn't have the energy for it and sold another business. But essentially what I learned is that if you don't have your health, you don't have anything because I had to get out of that relationship that I was in, which was amazing, but I had to focus on my healing. So it was there, wasn't I decided I'm living in Bali and values home and broke up with
the boyfriend. I had at the time and was really difficult and focused on redesigning my business in a way that wasn't so draining and texting on me, you know, physically and Mentally, I'm doing too much. So there was also such a big Learning lesson.
And yeah, now that's what I want to share with others as how not to get into that space because it's so easy to lose ourselves, especially as long as professionals, because we want to really serve and we want to help and we want to, you know, heal everybody. And if we're not looking after ourselves, and we don't have a health and we just can't do that. Yeah, it kind of reminds me of on the airplane when they tell, Well, you have to take the seat cushion, cover and save yourself first before you save even, your
children, or whoever is next to you next. So, what I'm hearing is that you have, you mentioned several businesses and not that. We needed to find those. But you're a businesswoman. You've got all this different projects going on at the same time.
Self-starter, just designed that way. Probably like this is this is my who I am. It's authentic to me. And then you started to reach these challenges that life was throwing you because of some of the life choices that you are making.
And and now you're at the stage of your life where you're able to basically share your experience of how you overcame these. Yeah, this Rock Bottom place that you found two different times through your health falling apart. And and yeah, and the other things you mentioned. And so, yeah, so now share with us the, you know, what is come to fruition since those lessons were learned what? I feel like it's still always an evolving process, you know, it's like whenever totally healed,
whenever totally know everything. And so I always take on that whole embodiment of always being a student and always learning. I love that but now I feel like I've got to the point where I've put a structure together. I've put programs together, I've created Stuff, so that other people can relate and they can learn from.
And I wish I had all this information in a given to me, when I was starting my businesses and growing my wellness company because it just makes so much sense now, but it didn't 14 years ago, 15 years ago. And so now it's about like how to really support, you know, at the people that are just starting out as a yoga teacher.
And so my, my qualifications and my background is yeah, studied my first yoga teachers training in 2007. And then I've been teaching a lot. So it's more than six and a half hours in yoga classes and teaching all over the world. And yeah, I like yoga is just always been my life and then added life coaching into that about six years ago. So to me, I love that balance of yoga and coaching and getting into your body and embodying all of that. And obviously done so many
different trainings as well. I think we all do it, exploring with energy, healing and everything else, but now I've actually taken so that's very much focusing on. You know, healing and wellness with. And my focus is more on woman. But now what I've been focusing on the last two years is really looking at Wellness professionals and being able to support them on their Journey.
So, I've created, I've got a whole program, which is Wellness business success, and it really goes through six simple steps from stress to success. So, it's really supporting anybody who's feeling, you know, who's a wellness, professional yoga teacher a coach or anyone who's feeling overwhelmed and whether it's about business or marketing or technology and not wanting to be on their phone and their computer all the time and how do they have been structure things in a way that's easier
for them. And so that they don't have to be spending all their time doing these things and being able to really yeah, I give them tips and tools and strategies that have worked for me. And I've been doing that for myself for so many years. And then the last two years.
I've been coaching other Wellness professionals as well through this whole process. That they don't feel stuck or overwhelmed or what's next. And I feel like we get that that question so many times in trainings and we had that when we did the training together, where, you know, everyone within the training, their learning, you know, how to be a yoga teacher. But in the back of their mind, they're also learning. They thinking what do I do with this now, you know, so then it was beautiful, you know, a few
days later. We did an in-person training, you know where I was facilitating and I love that you and Michael came to join us on that one and really is about ik how do You then take what you've learned now and implemented into your life and into your business.
That's going to be scalable and sustainable. Because for me, Wellness business success is not just about being successful from a money point of view. It's about having a lifestyle and a business. So it's a lifestyle business where you can have a life as well. And we're not working killing ourselves working, and teaching, you know, six yoga classes a day, which I've definitely been there.
And yeah, I'm making things a little bit more, scalable and sustainable. Us, which is important. Yeah, like I said, lifestyle. Yeah. Yeah, truly gonna live your life, right? That's part of your, your lifestyle. At least. That's what I would guess.
We would want. Yeah, so to give some perspective to the audience, listening that listens to this, they know Paul and myself and Michael. And, and we come from a background. That's much different. The Studio background, you know, the, the Juggernaut Studio. Moments type of places in Los Angeles, California, and how to create a business within a business almost. So this kind of, you know, link that that might be missing from the communication, just simply
because I haven't experienced it. And Paul really hasn't either. We've always plugged in to a system that's already there. So to meet somebody, like you, that is sharing your gifts and knowledge and experiences which Quite a different path than the advice that I like to give people, which is sometimes, you know, you got to.
You got to learn to to walk before you run is the way I look at it. Your business, you know, you want to learn. You want to be confident as a yoga teacher, you want to be. So in your essence and you know, of service within that that class that the people feel the experience within it. And the only way to get that experience. Ernst was to teach yoga.
So that's always kind of been my my number one strategy towards them and to give advice to people. But that's because I never put together my own website and I never I never package together. This brand, you know, my brand happened very authentically through just natural by could have happened sooner. Probably had I met you.
So yeah just to give them through some some Active, so that they everyone listening can he can see the difference between like, you know, the way that you can do things in order to sustain a very, you know, vital yoga career totally.
And I'm so glad that you brought that up because and what I love about you and Paul and and and me and then it's just so vastly different yoga careers, and I think you and I have been in teachers for About the same amount of time.
And and he was a talk like thousands and thousands of yoga classes that I experience is very, very different. And, you know, like you guys coming from America and la, and I've said this to you before we, you know, being in South Africa, we had the bottom of the world and America's just as there's a light that, everybody's everyone Compares, everything to what do the Americans do and yoga. Essentially.
Yes, it came from India and Where the the essence of it is but America really is, but you got the map. And when I first started teaching, nobody even knew what yoga was in South Africa. I had to really explain. Okay. This is what yoga isn't over 10 years over a decade. The probe, the process and the progression of yoga and hard, really exploded in the world has just been so phenomenal, to watch that Journey, but you guys were at the center of it all I was out in the periphery and so
So that's where the different Journeys come in and and that's why I love working together because we have such a different story, but we but we all believe in the same thing and is about how we can be the best version of ourselves and the best yoga teachers. And how do we then share that message and spread it out into the world?
And I love what you've both put into your training about the business of yoga and the information that you share because it's really relevant about how you can then go into a studio and It become a teacher at for another business and a studio and really harness that craft.
But my journey has been I mentioned, I've taught more than six and a half thousand over houses and I think about 200 of those were teaching for somebody else. So, I literally, every most classes that I did, I set up myself. I put it in a loud teaching.
A lot of them Outdoors, like marketing them getting the people in there selling. Going the whole scope and I'm sometimes look back and I go. Why do that to you and story guy? Could I just got into the studio and just done what I love doing and not to have to do all the background and all that everything everything else, but I learned so much from all of that.
And that's what I'm also sharing. And I know that it's about being a good yoga teacher and focusing on the yoga, but what I do find is that especially with what's And since 2020 is that the the Landscapes changed and not, everybody can just go and walk into a studio because a lot of the studios are closed. Not Studios aren't open.
I will the ones that are the teachers are really holding on to their jobs. So for me it's about how do they give people another Avenue to be able to focus on if they want to, if they have got that entrepreneurial Spirit?
How do they do it in a way where they can get out there. They can teach the classes, they can do what they need to do, but they don't have To rely on another tea, own rather Studio to get the name out there and they can do that for themselves.
And that's where I really love supporting people in this process because it's not about being an Instagram star. Like I'm so not interested in creating more influences that for me the stories that I share it's about being a conscious influencer and how do you make an impact in the world in a way that's conscious message that you're putting out there and being very clear on what that message is.
But in a way that's A conscious for us as the people that are creating the content. So not getting swallowed up in the whole social media, you know, black hole and how do you protect yourself from that? And so that's way it's like bringing in the yogic philosophy into running a business and it's more bringing in that feminine energy rather than pushing and selling and marketing. It's very much.
How can we do this in a way that's going to support you as the business owner, and you're not going to be burning out and it's about managing expectations and giving them M, the structure in the tools and their strategies.
And like I said, I wish I had this years ago, but I mean, I actually forgot to mention that, but I was in branding and marketing before I got into wellness and into yoga. So I've been in the marketing side and I've worked in studios in London and Graphic Design Studios that it's not your constituents. So, you know, I've had that experience and then having watched the progression of yeah, before social media, and digital marketing was even around how
that evolution is shifted. And then. So for me it's about focusing on the old school way of marketing, which is essentially creating a community. And so that's what I teach it's more, they're focusing on the the beautiful elements of creating a community Through having the positive version of being able to reach so many people via, you know, the internet rather than letting that just take over your life. So yeah, more of a feminine energy coming to balance out the feminine approach to balance out
the Ellen by default, perhaps were more in our masculine when we are selling or pushing or driving to do something. Yeah, so you've learned that by not pushing so hard or letting it come to you then you can not burn out and sustained sustained. That's right.
Totally. I'd like to give an example of that if yeah, real life example, if you don't mind. Yeah, absolutely. So a friend while I kind of mine. Just because I was a Jew, rebranding websites and logo design. And you know, as I said, I was a graphic designer.
So a client came to me and she wanted a rebound her her business and she's a coach, a conscious family coach. And so we gave her a whole new look, you know, who website or logo. And it was much more Sparky and much more her, and then to rebirth her business.
I did a whole. I'm like, ceremony. We did a new moon ceremony. It was all about setting. Intentions was rebirthing a Business and her and I just totally connected on this level. So we just were doing a formation cards and it was just a really, really beautiful experience and then I suggested to her to go to my strategist and she got a whole reading on her business over the next few months. And we then took that reading and took those dates of when we should launch her program, who
online program. So we're really working with like other elements and other modalities and other energy, rather than just, like, oh, let's go out and sell. And when I came to the launch, We did this beautiful launch and I just we did it in a way where it wasn't about pushing.
It wasn't about selling and I just kept on saying to her just really connect with that energy of being able to receive because I feel like so much of like in our lives. We just really battle with that and being a moron that flow being more in that feminine energy and she totally embody that and took it on and the launch went really well, but in amongst all of that, she landed up getting a first online.
Life coaching client and this client was ten thousand dollars of our clients, you know, and so she was just so excited. I was our first time. She's managed to do that and charge what she's worth and who and actually try to Value.
But I believe it was because she really opened up to that energy. So that's what I am teaching. That's what I do within the, the work. And so bringing in what we really believe in here, which says, you know, the more we can align with ourselves and align with what it is that we do and our message, the more we going to be And tune more going to be in Florida. And, you know, that's what we're doing here is reaching samadhi, but doing all of that.
Well of are, you you integrated the, the yogic lifestyle, into the approach to business as the way not to burn out, very smart, very clever. Thank you. Didn't manage to mention social media and Instagram without even saying your handle. We'll do that at the end.
I'm not scared to selves. Yeah, I mean I started thinking about a few things. But yeah, because I think burnouts just so relatable for everyone. We've all burned out in one way or the other and it's like this equation, this code. It has only been cracked by a few people, not as many people as, as it's happening to.
So, just to be sitting in front of somebody who's kind of cracked their code of burnout and we have a podcast about burnout and how to manage your energy when you are teaching six classes today. And, and how do you do this?
If you can't say no, meaning like you literally have a schedule to abide by and you're not technically sick yet. So you have to show up and do things so You know, that's one kind of manage managing energy in that on that perspective.
And then you just kind of sharing your experience from from just like your skill set is fits into all these things organizationally for business and creating Brands and graphic designing. And, you know, it's kind of rare to get the yoga teacher. That's also the graphic designer, you know, and there's everything about marketing and business and Really were fairly unorganized people.
And I found one of Wellness companies, and yoga studios and trying to get a yoga teacher to send me an invoice. So it's quite an interesting you'll find, you know, every yoga teacher has something that they're pretty good at.
It could be like music for instance, or singing or acting or meditation or, you know, they just they have their niche of something that they're really good at. But I don't think it lines up with graphic designers are often. So you sounds like you just already put that to the test before your yoga teacher and found what you wanted to do and found a way to make it happen.
And your Dharma is you know, your path, your Dharma, your calling, you know, it's it is so very different than the Los Angeles Mega studio type of just if you can get a spot at the studio and work hard and show up and say, yes, you know, like it's just a difficult pletely, different Dharma.
I did just shows you that if it's if it's within your destiny to do something, then with your will, then it's it's going to happen. If it's meant to happen. It will happen. Maybe not the way you imagined it happening or the way that somebody else told you.
It's going to happen. But hopefully through sharing experiences that are vastly different like yours and mine. Then we can hit a larger audience and help more people. Yeah, I think that's what it's all about in the end is like, how do we get bad you how do? You support how do we share, you know, our stories and there's a love of yoga and what yoga is actually about which doesn't mean, you know, being in the perfect pose and it's about not being perfect but about being
real. And how do we bring that into our teaching? How do we bring that into our message? How do we bring that into a business? And so yeah, like I really love what you were saying there. And for me it's about doing the best that I can with the opportunities that I have presented to me, and I might not have had all.
Opportunities than other people would have had in their lives because of, you know, circumstances and things, and that's part of our path. And so, I'm just one of those people who's like, okay, how can I make the best of the situation and then do what I can with that and see things in a positive light? And just yeah, have a positive approach to the way that I live my life and really listened to my intuition. That's been my biggest lesson of if it feels right. Then I need to really tap into
That. Yeah, I'll put you on the spot here. So do you think you can you think of any like applicable? Information. Like that's like a, I don't know. Like some sort of you. I took your Workshop, you know, you gave me this magic methods passed down from another guy.
That's that's done this of branding. So you basically find fork for problems with something. Let's say for problems. When yoga teaching, you know, and then you find this for problems. Then you basically get to your root word and find a catchy way to Brand it. You have maybe not that but something that would be helpful for the listeners.
Like a short, strategic thing, a little strategy that I can give to them. Yeah. Well, we're going to the magic method because it won't really make sense to them. But now they need a little bit more context to that. But I'm glad you remember that.
Thanks. I think the one thing that I will share is that for me, that I could biggest takeaway is knowing what our core values are in our life, and just having three that don't have to have these thousands. Things that we're trying to remember.
So my three core values is is first of all, Freedom, joy, and balance. And that's what I present to the world. That's what I'm that's part of my diamond. That's what I'm here for is. I'm very much a freedom, freedom woman and freedom, you know, independent woman, but not just about just being this Warrior person that needs to be on doing everything on your own.
Like I do believe in collaboration and everything as well. But freedom for the audience, especially If they bring it into that light into their lives, it's about how do you create even things like location Independence? You know, how do you create a business or life where you don't have to be stuck in one place, which is like something very unique and different to those people that are teaching and Studios, but now we have this whole virtual Studio that's going on.
So, you know freedom is a how do we work with that and even within the structures that we have or the obstacles that we have? How do we still find Freedom? So freedom for me is so important Financial Freedom, you know, freedom and in our personal lives are still feeling free. Even if you in a relationship or if you're in a Business Partnership, how do you still have that that sensation and that feeling?
And because I feel like that freedom is so important for so many people, especially with the structures of the world nowadays. So that for me is the first take away like how to bring more freedom into the world and strategies on how to create more freedom.
And the next word for me and my core value is Joy. So as you know, I'm Gemini Moon, and you are two variants. So I know we are kind of. Yeah, so it's all aligned Moon signs and Geminis just really bad playful energy. So for our listeners that might not know.
It is just that Peter Pan Us and how to bring more fun and more. Joy into what it is that we do. And I feel like people can take life and business and, you know, just life in general very seriously, and I'm not saying, you know, don't take the Look, seriously, as you do that, take their work seriously, but don't take ourselves. So seriously all the time.
So bringing in their Joys aspect aspect and element. I feel like is really important. And then the last one is balanced. So how do we live this life? A balance? And as yoga teachers, we all know this intellectually, but are we actually embodying that?
And are we doing? I meditation practice every morning. Are we doing our yoga practice regularly? So many yoga teachers that are no out there that don't have time to do that. And practice and they teaching, but they're not actually physically still, you know, embodying what they teach him.
And that's just hugely important as having that balance and, and knowing when to say no, so it's all fun taking on all this stuff, whether it's classes or teachings, or whatever it is, but then what's taking you out of alignment and when you know what that is, then like, what do you need to do to come back to that? And so that's where the Bernard comes in and knowing what our And what I limitations are and everybody's different for that as well.
So I know I have my boundaries are now and they get tested all the time. And I'm still figuring out what happened. Sometimes I get thrown off balance and I'm like, oh, yeah. Okay. I know what that feels like now, so I'm not going to let myself get to that point. So I know I'll never ever burn out again. But yeah, it's Freedom, joy and balance. And so those are my core values that I present. And what I bring to the world, and everything that I do, whether it's Friendships
relationships, you know, and Partnerships with my clients. That's what I automatically will bring. And I think if for years listeners out there, if you can really figure out what your core values are, what it is that you bring, then you can tie that into your purpose.
You can tie that into your your message. You can tie that into your method and and then that if you don't know what your purpose is, if you don't know what your message is, then it can get very Overwhelming, because then, you can just be going on a tangent, talking about everything and to be special to be unique as about being yourself.
And that's the only way you're going to stand out in an oversaturated Market is like, what is your message? What are your core values? What are you sharing with the world? And so we are once that you know that I just feel like you have that Clarity and then everything else falls into place. Hmm, interesting.
I feel like we do a whole nother podcast on the core values. Yeah. What is the core value? And And what is yours and what is mine? And how does that align with your message? And yeah, but you said Freedom, joy and balance.
And the way you put that together made me think about how the balance is the kind of the glue that the discipline find when you're not doing something with the action in a way. And the joy will came up for me when you said the joy was You know, light the lightness and the fun.
Yeah, sure. I like to have fun too. And then sometimes I feel happy, I feel heavier, you know, there's obviously a motion stirring and like, I don't feel light. Why don't I feel light and should I feel guilty for not feeling Joy?
No, obviously I shouldn't feel guilty. But sometimes when we, we kind of invite people to learn these principles of Freedom, joy and balance. And like, oh wait, I don't feel joyful right now and I feel bad about it. Oh wait, did the bow?
Let's part is what would help me. Feel more joy, totally is if I now integrate my practice which I forgotten about, because I'm so busy and I'm out of balance and I can't just analytically. Cerebrally digest this information. That's not enough, just understanding it knowledge under understanding and knowing as one of my teachers likes to say is completely different.
I understand a ton more than I know, I understand things because you told me. Me them or I read them, you know. Yeah, I understand. You know, that smoking is bad for you. But once I have a realization happened then I truly know it.
Yeah, you know that, that moment you wake up and you're like, you know what, I know coffee II know the coffee thing is getting me to this point. I know it to the point where it's more important, so that just kind of like, touched on that a whole Joy. Yeah, that whole part.
I love the way you put that together. Thank you. And that's the thing. Is that Joy is one of my core value is because that's just what I love to bring to the world but doesn't mean that we always going to be feeling joyful and we're not always going to be in this happy space. So it really is then going here.
Looking at why we don't feel like that, like why? And for me it's not just Joy, it's contentment, you know, and we've all learned this in a eight limbs of yoga. So it's not just about happiness because that to me is false.
It's we got to feel all the emotions and it's but when you feel Content with life. And then, the joy does naturally, you know, bubbles up my experience with joy is that I felt it way more intensely than I ever had after grieving.
Mmm after very strong grieving. Yeah sessions and so you could say the more you let go of then the more joy, you'll feel like true Joy not just like a word that means happy or content but like Joy is like, oh my God like a freaking Hold here, like the wonderment in this microphone. I'm talking, it's insane.
Like exact likeness again, feeling light and I just said, we go through life and there's Darkness happening and it's not a bad, like just a disassociation from the, the darkness. It's about inviting that and feeling it. But letting that demotion flow through, you not wallowing in the darkness or the grief and, you know, we've got to experience those things, but then on the other side because you do get to the other side and we go through. All these waves and life, then
their Joy just appears. And it's just when you feel that it's like when you're on the top of the wave, a new surfing was way of in that joy. And that happiness and that laughter and I just said, it's like was childlike energy and we can all it's just beautiful to be able to really tap into that.
Yeah, being a computer person. You have the recycle bin on the desktop. So you drag something into the recycle bin and you kind of think it's gone, but it's still hanging around. Memory. So crying or releasing or even if it's through anger, that would be the equivalent of going up to the file.
Delete, empty trashed, boom gone. And then you see it all, like, just a penny already. You just feel like, relief, so much lighter and he actually look at a real trash can. It's remains me even more accurately true. If you don't empty out, that trash can totally keep on stacking shit up on top of it.
Then, you know, it's gonna start to stink even worse. Totally. So I love that the way that You kind of really absorbed. What I was saying, is that balance is almost a structure and having that balance. If you don't have that balance and you won't necessarily be feeling the joy. And so, with balance comes joy, and then with that comes a real Freedom, right?
The freedom is the trickiest one. That's the most fun one to talk about for me. But I mean, when it comes down to what people want, if you can get someone that is ready enough to to admit this then. Only two things we want freedom and love.
So beautiful, the two things. And then the thing that people think they want is freedom. Sometimes that in, this is where it gets to be a different conversation because have free, do you really want to be? Yeah, because there's a lot of letting go of things and identities and patterns that you don't, you're not ready to let go of yet.
So how much Freedom do you want? I think would be another whole podcast. It will be. Yeah. And then well, that's what I really love to just support people on this journey is about how to redesign their life, first of all, and that's more for my woman, going through, burnout, and redesign it to create more freedom, and joy, and balance.
And then how to support Wellness professionals yoga teachers, how to redesign their business, and create more freedom. Joy, and balance, within their business and their life. So, yeah, and I just say it's all, it's all going to be personal to the person as well. And so, it's about very much coaching, people, through this process.
They can figure it out. And what is the best thing for them? Epic amazing. I feel so. Joyful. I don't have to use one of my words. This is So Divine. This is so divided. Society. Does it get more Divine than us? Know shiny Queen, you sit here across the table from me.
Just glowing it up Below. In Japan has a frangipani flower. And yeah, I'm just so glad that you decided to come here today and share your wisdom and life. Dances, and I know it'll hit home for some people. I mean anytime that I find that I've learned something of value.
It's like even though you're sharing this, I feel like I'm sharing it. I'm like, I'm bringing her in to share this with you guys. Thank you. Yeah, I mean, it's just such a full spectrum, we feel so lost as yoga. Teachers in this, the Wild Wild West. The wild was like anything goes here and you can make up anything and in him throwing social media. Gosh, scary stuff.
Yes, social media just just box it all up for everybody. I mean, it just makes it so and authentic and not true and you can't trust anybody anymore. Yeah, so that's why it's doing it in a way that it's using it in a different way and use it in a way to me. I still feel like social media, so valuable because you can reach so many people, whereas, before when I was oldest like word of mouth with your yoga studio. I mean, I didn't ever do any advertising out of trade my studio and Is taking people all
over the world of my Retreats and never advertised with thing. It's all word of mouth. And so that's the way that I'm used to doing things. And then all of a sudden, social media came out. I was like, whoa, we're doing that. So yeah, it's about using the platforms and the tools that we have, but using them in a way that's still in a conscious, you know, authentic way.
And there's ways that we can do that. And that's what I teach in my course. And then my program, well, is there any kind of send offs that you have people can find you? Where I do read anything about you programs, you name it? Yeah, totally.
I got so much online. So I have just revamp my website. So it's all there, which is under shiny Quinn.com. It's not shiny Queen. That's how you spell my name. Yeah, maybe spell, which is s har ni Q UI wnd.com and my website.

So really just helping people support them on their Journey as well. So that's all yeah. Under my blogs and everything on my website. I've got a whole free be on there as well. And to yeah, they can just really connect with me learn more about the various programs that I do on there and I'm doing in. Paintings here in Bali.

And I went to a swimming pool earlier today at the yoga barn and who booed and We floated, we floated with things, holding our feet up. Meaning, we're not sinking to the bottom, but then the other person has to hold your head up out of the water. Basically, kind of sways you around like a fish real slowly, very just like trying to coerce you into the deepest shavasana, feeling that you can possibly get in and it was a lot of fun. I will say like I'm a lot bigger
than she is. And so her, her job was a lot. Harder than mine. Holding me up. I was thank you. I kind of found you. If you do, my big ass was just sinking to the bottom and but luckily, my head was sticking up out of the water.
So it's still enjoyable. It was really fun. But deep, as we were like little kids in the pool. It was supposed to be relaxing and I felt like we were just giggling. Yeah, it was up, which is being light and experiencing Joy, totally, totally.
Yeah, and it's just, really beautiful being in body altogether, actually, and being able to experience. All the stuff in person rather than only on the online space. And I feel very grateful to be here, very grateful to admit you and Michael, and Paul, and Phil, really.
