Show notes

Finding your teaching voice can start the moment you stop imitating everyone else, as a spontaneous guest walks into the studio to share her experience with it.

Megan Cowley, originally from the UK, has moved to Bali and completed a 200hr Yoga teacher training this past year and has been diving into the exploration of voice.

Not a typically path of a yoga teacher, but a path that has allowed her to use the tools from her training and experiment with different elements that help her make a positive impact on the world.

As we all know, yoga is more than just a physical practice, and the tools we learn can help people. This is exactly what Megan shares with us during this episode.

She shares your authentic use of her voice to inspire and help others.

Hey there, Before we get started on this week's episode, I would love to ask for your support by reviewing this podcast. We want to share yoga with as many people as possible and this free resource. This podcast is one of the ways that we can do that. And the best way that you can help support us is by giving us a review.

So if you go to Apple Podcasts or Spotify or whatever podcast platform you use, Scroll down until you find that star review and then give us some love. Thank you so much, and let's get started with this week's episode. You're very fancy. Oh, yes, I am darling.

Yes, darling. From England. From England, Yeah. Tell me a little bit more about England. England. Pastures far and wide. I hear it's. I hear it's cold there. Not always. No competition with Canadian cold? Probably. Not no Canada's.

There is probably Max -2. Sometimes not. Winter is kind of cold. Cool. It rains. It rains a lot. A lot. That's like kind of like snow, but just warmer snow. Yeah. So it's a kind of like clouds that are just falling from the sky. Yeah, exactly.

Both come from the same place, so we're recording. OK, would you like to start this podcast episode? Well, as an I start no, I'm saying like we're starting people listening right now. We're alive. Well, people are calling it no, just, but we are recording.

OK, welcome to the Going Pro Yoga Podcast. If you love yoga as much as I do, then this podcast is for you. We talk all things yoga related for teachers in order to supplement and complement and even support after a 200 hour yoga teacher training.

Or if you've never done a training before, this podcast is all about just learning more about yoga in an authentic way. Together with Paul Tioto and Byron De Marseille, we put together this podcast to provide you with a free resource to learn more about yoga. Whether you want to share yoga or teach yoga or just practice yoga, this podcast is talking all things yoga related. And we're trying to talk from the teacher's perspective and also the student's perspective

to make sure we get a full 360 degree angle on what yoga is all about and how it's evolved in the modern world. Welcome to our podcast. My friend Megan is here. She's from England. Yes, I am. And we just decided to hit record and start sharing a little bit about her journey. She is an avid listener of the podcast, so she's listened to a lot of the episodes on this podcast and shares feedback on it, which has been really helpful. And now she's come to actually,

she came to the area in which we record the podcast to just talk. She wanted to come and talk and share some things related to voice and just things that have been going on. She's a a graduate of our 200 Hour teacher training, among many other trainings that we've held here in Bali.

So yeah, Megan has things that she wants to say. She just doesn't know what they are yet. That is exactly it. Yeah. So we're just going to go with it. So to me, I'm thinking this is kind of like the path of a yoga teacher, but not the typical path.

It's like, oh, I'm teaching yoga and all that stuff. It's like you, you're kind of going in a different direction, not necessarily teaching the asana yoga, but you're kind of diving into other things. So what are those things that you're, like, interested in? What are the things that are kind of coming up for you with all of the stuff that you've learned in the last? Like, how long has it been?

Almost a year, Eight months or something. Like that? Nine months, nine months. Yeah, same amount of time is to be pregnant. So you're giving birth soon? I well, actually, I finished the Empowerment Yoga training exactly nine months after I finished my 200 hours YTT. So I actually think I gave birth on the finals of the Empowerment Flow Training.

Oh yeah, that's intense. Yeah, I don't remember seeing anything that was that intense. No. And I guess what I'm saying when I say I gave birth is like I'm trying to step into my highest self and my biggest potential. And through the last nine months of doing a yoga training and hands on and all these different things, I've experienced a different side of my skill set and delving into that and getting feedback in whatever way that comes as sent me on this

like. Direction and journey that I'm probably well, basically. I have absolutely no idea where it's going, but I'm really enjoying how it feels to go that way. OK, great. So what are some of the things that you've been doing or testing out and getting feedback on?

So I mean, the main one would be hands on adjustment. I do. I'm an Angel assistant with Byron on his Friday class at Yoga Band. I go around and assist people and give loving touch things to just like help them in the Astana and I really enjoy being able to give to people and a lot of the time I've noticed that people just need to be held or witnessed and being able to.

Hold space in in such a big yoga class with Byron and and three other angels is such a special experience. But then also being able to be one-on-one with whoever it is and me personally, I mean, I love adjusting. You know someone's in a warrior two and they're like out of alignment. I I enjoy doing that and I especially enjoy when people don't think that they can do like 1/2 moon and then I just like get in there and.

Hold them up, basically. And they're just like so liberated by it. But my favorite is to adjust people in child's pose, because it's a moment for for them to collect themselves, to come back within themselves. And that's often when I'll come and just give them some kind of like gentle loving touch. And I personally I don't know if this is like a a thing. Well, I know it's a thing because it's it's worked for me. But like I enjoy when I'm touching, when I'm assisting or adjusting someone or giving them

this like loving touch. I always like to have like a mantra going through my mind that it's like you are nurtured by the earth, the earth loves you kind of thing. And I feel like that really. I mean, the feedback I've received from from people is that they're.

That touch has really inspired them or nurtured the most often the more, you know, they were able to be witnessed by it. And I think that's really beautiful. So beyond just the actual physical touch, yeah. I'm because I mean what most people think, oh, physical chest hands on adjustments, it's like you're focusing on alignment and like you've learned and have experienced over time is it's not just about that touching someone is a whole.

There's a whole level of intelligence, if you will, or things going on underneath the surface related to the fact that you're entering someone's space. Exactly. And it's not entering someone's space to adjust the physical biomechanical alignment. Like, yeah, sure.

But it's not just that. And we need to remember that. And that's kind of what I'm hearing you speak to is like, you're entering someone's space and you're honoring that space. You know, your energy, your frequency, your vibration is representing. Like, it's almost like there's no one else in the room. It's just you and this person, and you're focusing on that. Yeah.

And that's probably felt. It's probably felt. Yeah, and it's really, it's a really beautiful thing to be a part of. I feel very privileged. I've also done what I would regard as energetic work with Amara Samata, who was on your podcast I think a few times but once episode 100 if you want to listen to Amara Samata.

It's an amazing episode as well, so check it out. But yeah, with that, it's that again. It's a lot of. Feeling into the heart space and seeing if people want to open up and if they contract, kind of like giving them permission to open up.

And I think what I've realized and learnt from from these two experiences which have just happened very like very flowing, like I've not, I've not. I had the intention, oh, I want to go and adjust all these people, but it just seems to be happening now every Friday. Just people.

And I'm learning and cultivating these, all this information about people. And I think the thing I've learned the most from it is that people just need a hug. It's so simple, but like just a hug. Like they just want to be hugged and seen.

Like I can relate to that so hard. Like, I just want a hug and to be seen and it makes everything OK. Absolutely not. Not that you're going around the room and hugging everyone. No, no. But the essence of the hug, feeling held. Feeling seen.

Yeah. And I feel that as well. Obviously I do the adjustments also, right? I'm one of the facilitators for this class and the training. But absolutely, like, sometimes I'm not even thinking about adjusting. I'll just look at someone.

I'll just be like, they just, they just look like they need a hand on their back. You know, they just look like they need just a little bit of hand support just from like touch and that's it, right? And then going in and just placing that hand there and then breathing intentionally with them as they're breathing. And just like, you know, allowing that to go through the fingers, whether you believe this or, you know, feel into this energetic field or whatever

you want, that's totally fine. But it's it's a thing. Yeah, it's definitely a thing. And having the intention like we go through life so much all about ourselves and like you know, wanting to the better ourselves grow ourselves.

But when you walk into that room, all the intention goes on the people in the space. So you are kind of put to one side. And I actually really enjoyed doing that and nurturing other people. Yeah. Cool. Awesome. But let's talk a little bit more about the the the Amara experience or the things that you cultivated from Amara. Should we say, spoiler alert, that you actually work with Amara a little bit or?

Yeah, I mean, I run her social media Instagram account and do some other little bits and bobs for her. But it's been a pleasure to be able to kind of being running, to be running an Instagram account of of somebody that I look up to so much and be able to like.

Feed in her knowledge and lessons and learnings and then by default I have then learned and gained so much growth from her right just by being around her, which is a real pleasure. And then you know, also being able to assist her on certain inner guidance journey works that she does on right last Friday of the 1st Friday of every month, which is completely just intuition more than anything.

And that comes into, I think that lesson has taught me a lot about just like living in the normal realms of life, like trusting your your intuition, trusting your gut and not hesitating and having like just surrendering.

In our training I had to think about, like in the empowerment training I had to think about like what is surrender to me. And I was thinking about all night and I was like I should. You know, it was for a final and I was like thinking I need to need to practice, I need to like get this script in order and all this stuff. And I ended up because that thing was surrender. I ended up actually just laying on bed on my bed and surrendering.

I was waiting for it. And I just laid there basically, and thought about what surrender is to me. And it's for me. Surrender is the moments before you surrender. It's where there's that line and is it. Are you going to step over that line and jump into the unknown or are you going to hesitate?

Are you going to step a few steps back? And to me that's surrendering. And I think intuition ties into that quite a lot. Because when you've got somebody in front of you that you're witnessing going through this journey and all you have is your intuition to go.

And so it's not like you can speak to them and be like, are you feeling in your heart space right now? Do you want me to like? Hover my hand above you, which is kind of what it is in like plain facts. But like, yeah, you I just, I enjoy just playing with the idea of like hearing something or feeling something and then just going for it and just being like, all right, let's just try this out. So that's been a wonderful and skill that I've been learning. Yeah.

OK, yeah, great intuition. Intuition. So what? What is intuition to you? It's a good question, Michael, very good question. Intuition. Intuition is it's it's the knowing that you have without knowing. For me it's the it's just that feeling of just like I should do this, and it's the it's like intuition for me comes within the first like 3 seconds. And then whatever comes after that is the brain that's coming. And then it's like, no, you're not doing that. And then you know all this

logical stuff comes up. But intuition is like void of logic. It's like all love also look like this, just all soul and being. I love using my intuition. My I love living with intuition. It's just great to like, not have to like, not think too much about things and just go for it. Which is probably why I'm like, still here in Bali. Because I've just, like, run on my intuition so much. It's crazy to like, see that I'm actually just like here on this podcast right now, right?

Like I'm just. Like if you ask me like, how did I get here? You literally walked in the room. I literally just looked in the room when you were here, yeah. And I said put on a headset. Let's start recording. Yeah, that's exciting.

And like that's one of the other things I've been learning. Back to your first original question. Is this idea of using my voice And as I speak right now, I realize I am using my voice, but some like especially from the YTT, the 200 hours, the feedback I got from a lot of people was like wow, like your voice is it really captivates me or it really calms me and I think when you get feedback so many times you kind of like look at it and you're like, well, I'd have to

do something. About this, like with it, you ever have to listen to it or you just like completely? I don't know. I actually don't think there's another option to that. If you're getting repetitive feedback of the similar kind of thing, you got to have to do something about it. Well, you definitely need to listen. Well, at some point, yeah.

And you can decide or discern whether or not you want to do something or not if it's in alignment with what also feels good for you. And if it's positive feedback, obviously, yeah. If it makes you feel good, yeah. And it does make me feel good. That's great.

So I'm I'm on this journey of finding my voice, stepping into my power, and taking up space because I am like a very tall 6 foot three woman and I'm also 6 foot 3. Yeah. So we're like, we're both sitting on the chair right now and you're sitting taller than I am and that's because I'm a lot of leg.

I have quite a lot of leg, yeah, but. I'm very proportional, like I'm like upright right now. Yeah, that's true. You're taller than me sitting. Anyhow, that's besides this podcast. OK, So my question or my next question is about, because you know, whoever's listening to this episode, if they're still listening, we're talking about, you know, voice, or at least right now that's we're talking about.

And some people have a hard time with speaking up or creating their voice or just finding their voice. This is a very common language. How do you find your voice? I've had many teachers who have tried joining or asked to join some of our training saying like, my primary purpose is to find my voice in this training. So my question to you is like, what are, what are some things that you've discovered or found out for yourself along the way that have allowed you to, you

know, whether you found or not found it, you know, I'm sure it's a journey. As you mentioned before, What would be something that would be helpful for someone who's listening? That's like, yeah, what what have you been doing, Megan? Like what can I do that to try?

Or like, how can I explore finding my own voice? Well, I guess. I guess what I've been doing is trying to speak my truth as much as possible. Fortunately for me, I'm in an environment where people are authentically relating a lot more than maybe like in Manchester where I used to live. And I've found that that my truth isn't that scary. Like, I'll just have conversations with sometimes random people, sometimes friends. And like, I don't, I don't find

myself holding back anymore and I don't. But I also don't think I held back that much when I was, you know, in other in other times of my life, I've always been a very honest person because I just don't see a reason to have fear in in what I have to say. Like it will help.

Being authentic and honest to who you are then inspires other people to be authentic and honest and like. I learn back when I was like a manager in a cafe that to be a good leader you you must show that you can also kind of swear on this and swear. To be a good leader, you also have to show your the people you are leading that you can fuck up, right? And that you could have easily switched that to just messed up. Yeah, but it sounds more dramatic. Truth.

Yeah. And it's my truth. And you say it again, just a little bit louder. Fuck up. OK. There you go. Sorry. If you don't like sorry but this is my truth and I'm a speaking. That's right. Yeah. But yeah that. So it's to be relatable isn't it? Like and everyone can relate and if there's one thing I've learnt from being in Bali and being in all of these like circles where we have to share, which by the way I love. I think my tone of voice was kind of like it's it's a bittersweet, like I love them

and then also I don't have to sit there and it's. Really great listening to people, but like, not for the likes anyway, You had a you had a big epiphany, You had me on the edge of my seat. Yes, sharing. When you start sharing to other people, you realize that what you're sharing is almost similar, very similar to everybody else in the room. Like we all were so different.

We're so beautifully unique in all of these beautiful ways, but actually we're kind of all the same. And the more we start talking, the more we start sharing, the more we realize, oh, this guy's going through this as well and like this, you know, oh, I can relate to this.

Like we're within in this giant universe where we're all trying to be these independent beings. And in reality, like we should just try and create more community in connection with each other because we'll we'll learn a lot.

I learnt a lot from speaking. Right. And learning and listening to other people and their problems. Right. Yeah, it's beautiful. I mean, I mirror everything you say. I don't even really have any major comments. I guess my next question would be what do you think are, why do you think it's difficult for some people to speak their truth If, if you've had something that was challenging for you to speak your truth, you said, you know, you've always been honest with

yourself and, you know, pretty bold, I would say, with what you'd want to say. But like, all of a sudden, you're feeling like you're more. Honest with yourself, speaking more of your truth. So maybe there's something that was making it a bit of a resistance there.

Or maybe there was something in the past that was difficult because I'm just thinking of other people, like, for themselves. Like, yeah, I want to do that. How do I do that? OK, so I just, like, speak my truth. But they're probably thinking like, how the hell do I do that? And also like, but then what if I speak my truth and it's judged?

Or what if I speak my truth and you know people? It's not received well. The feedback's not good, you know, Like, how do I handle that kind of thing? Well, that's exactly, yeah. Yeah. A big problem of, like, how do you. It's all well and good, me telling you like that.

I just speak my truth. But yeah, like, how do you do that? And I am not blaming myself as some font of knowledge on this. I'm just learning from the experience in itself. But I think there's a there's always times in our lives where we get shut down and we get told to be quiet and to shut up and and all of these things from friends, family, whoever it is from a stranger on the street.

I remember once I got told that my a friend of of dear, they were a dear friend of mine when I was a teenager, said to me once we were all laughing and then he turns to me and he says I wish everyone would stop laughing.

Just so you would stop laughing because he hated my laugh so much. Yeah. And the irony is, I don't know if it's ironic, but I'm going to go with that word. The irony is, is that years down the line now, I'll be laughing in a room and people are like, I love your laugh. Your laugh makes me want to like, you know, like brightens up the room.

But for a while that kind of affected me. And like, you know, I can imagine it diminished my shine a little bit. But it's just like, this is just one person's opinion of you. One person using their voice to voice their opinion about you. So how about if they're going to voice their opinions on to you, how about you voice how you actually feel and talk your truth?

And I should have said to this guy, well, I enjoy laughing, so why don't you just bugger off? Go into the other room if you don't want to hear me. Right. Something polite. Yeah, exactly. You know, I'm English and I'm very, very polite, right?

And it's finding good ways of communicating because I think for a very long time I didn't value my own voice and what I was saying. And it's been surrounded by people who actually want to listen to. And there is them people out there because I've, I feel more listened to now than I ever have, which is a beautiful gift to being given this space to be able to safely speak and and be understood and heard by people. And I think maybe if you can't, you know, move across the world to the other side of the the the

world, move across the world, move across the world to the other side of the world, yeah, that makes sense. If you can't do that, then what I would advise to maybe somebody who's sat in Manchester right now and thinking, well, my mates don't speak to me, don't, don't listen to me.

I'd probably just say to them all, why don't you start listening to them a little bit harder and maybe something would come of it. And if anything, if they don't respond to that, then maybe you'll start listening harder to them and realize that what they're saying is a little bit boring and you don't actually connect with them.

And then you seek out the people that inspire words into your mind and have these beautiful, flowing, valuable conversations that help for self growth, which is what using your voice really is about speaking your truth. And discovering the truth and discovering the truth, and also discovering whether it actually is true to you. Exactly.

Because there's some things I can think and then I'll say it aloud. And I'm like, what? I don't know if I believe that. Right. Yeah, that's great. Speaking your truth, saying something, just allowing something to come through is scary for some people because of rejection because they feel like it's going to be judged. They might judge it themselves, like you just said. And all that stuff sounds scary, but it's all just OK. It's all OK to feel those

things. Exactly. And when we accept that, then we can move past that. But if we reject it before it even happens, then it'll never happen, and then nothing ever changes exactly. And if we become? Stagnant. And then all of a sudden we notice eventually that things are not right. We're feeling stuck.

Something's just there's a cloud over our head and we don't know why. And often times it's because you're just not acknowledging certain truths. Like you said, if you know, you say certain things and it comes out of your mouth, not everything is going to be like, oh wait, I don't know if I feel about that, but at least you got it out and then you realize for yourself, OK, maybe that isn't 100% true for me. And then you, you know, you addendum it, you rewrite it in a different way or reset it in a

different way. There's nothing worse than like having. I mean, I remember there's been a few times where I've wanted to say something to somebody and it's just been running through my mind like, you know, something. That something is just like, like, you fancy someone and you want to tell them, you fancy them, you've got a crush on them.

I guess is the American version of that. And then you'll be with them and you'll be thinking, you might know, I want to let you know how I'm feeling, and then you just ends up being this. Or if you're angry with someone the opposite of that, like if you're angry with someone you but you can't voice it, then it's just like taking up space in the mind that could be used for some, like, really beautiful creative endeavors. And instead you're just thinking

about how you fancy Steve and you can't tell him or that you're angry with. Eleanor, Eleanor. And it's just, you know, take give yourself some space. Yeah, space for the more beautiful things in the world. Yeah, that's great. I love that.

Hopefully there's some inspiration for some people buzzing to just be like, yeah, to start speaking up for yourself and whatever happens, happens. And that's OK. Time is on. Yeah, time moves on exactly everything he time heals everything. And also I believe that when you speak things and you say things it's it's it's liberating.

And also know that you can always change your mind, change your thoughts, change what you shared. You know, just because you said it. It's the unfortunate thing is because we're in a world where like you know you say something and it's you get you get cancelled immediately and like social media is everywhere.

So it's like I get all that. So it's like, you know, you don't have to post everything on the Internet and just like share all that stuff, but you can have these smaller conversations, share things with your family or friends and just see what happens. How is it received?

Is it even received for people even listening? Do they even care? And like you said, if they don't care, they're not listening, then maybe you're like, well, why am I even spending time with these people? There's no connection here. There's no willingness to connect here. Maybe I maybe I start sharing with other people and maybe I start to connect with other people and all of a sudden you know now there's going to be an expansion happening there. Exactly.

And I'm talking of social media. I recently I've gone on this journey of like trying to share my voice and and the things I have to say because as much as like I've got lots of people here well, who listen to me. I'm just like, I don't know, it just it feels good to be able to create something with my voice since this is part of my journey and like be vulnerable on the Internet, you're. Just testing things out.

Yeah, exactly. I wrote it out there. It's like throwing spaghetti on the wall and seeing which piece is going to stick. Yeah, just getting curious and exploring and like, it's been a very interesting journey for me and in a way of like, so I'll just get to this point in in the day when I've been thinking about those are different things. And then I'll come to this idea of, like, I'll be thinking about, for example, what did I do yesterday, this thing about how yesterday I had a friend

leave. I had two friends leave the island. And I was kind of sat there and I was like, oh, like, you know, my friends have gone. I kind of feel a little bit sad because. But that's the nature of being in Bali as people come and they go and it's a beautiful lesson in in letting go.

And they had this realization that strangers are just friends that we haven't met yet. And I had that kind of running in my mind. Strangers are just friends. They haven't met yet. And that, you know, I wasn't with anyone. So it's not like I could have shared it in a conversation. So I was like, oh, this is the perfect thing to to make a video about.

So I'll just like riff about how strangers are friends. We haven't met yet and. And what that means to me. And it involves sharing like a vulnerable story about, you know, having social anxiety at a party and feeling like, like the observer and not knowing how to connect with people who already seem to be connected in this world, which happens often for a lot of people, especially when you're traveling or in a new city or even just in your hometown at a party.

And you're like, how do I, like, step into this, like being an outsider or being this, like, human entity that's floating around, like orbiting this, like already made solar system. And like, how do I, like, get in there?

And it's realizing that all these people are like beautiful books and all you need to do is just be permissive, be open, go up to somebody and like, open the ask if you can just open the book and read a page and like, see what page of their book they want to give you. But I think I digressed a little bit. That's I'm just going to come back a few steps and say people when they see my videos on on Instagram, they're kind of like, oh, like, well, did you script

it? Like, how did you know what you're going to talk about? Like, be so brave for putting it out there? And I'm kind of like, well, no, I just like, turn the camera on and start talking and just see what happens. And yes, I do do it a few times sometimes because I have like, this one idea in my head and then I'll just riff from that. But like at the end of the day, I'm just doing it because I'm being curious and if people don't like it, I'm pretty sure I probably lost a load of

followers, especially from my friends back home in England, because I'm like talking about love and and I don't even know what I've been talking about. I enjoy doing it and I think that's the main thing. Absolutely. And then you'll attract other people.

Exactly. Who resonate with that which means you're going to start to form new connections and you're basically you're you're filtering what I'm going to kind of. Somewhat wrap this up. We're about 30 minutes in is when you start to share whatever it is that's might be true for you.

And like we said before, not every single thing that comes out might be like 100% truth. You might just find more truth from whatever you might say. But allowing yourself to speak up and share what might be true for you and allowing that to come through from your book, your subconscious book.

If you're not familiar with that, you can listen to an episode about the subconscious. I think it was one O 810-7108 subconscious mind. Then by sharing that stuff out with, you know, the people around you, you're going to end up filtering or siphoning through who actually resonates with what you're saying and who's propelled by it.

And if people are repelled by it, then that's that's because of something going on with them. It has nothing to do with you, right? And that is actually valuable to repel people that are not interested in what you have to say. You shouldn't have to judge yourself for saying what you want to say.

Because it's your truth. Or you know it might be your truth. Either way, it's your truth in that moment. It might change 5 seconds later, but that's OK. But if you have people that are judging you for that, then do you really want those people to be around? Exactly.

And then you you, you read the comments and people are like, oh, I was like really, really feeling into that. And you know, I relate to this so hard and you know and you inspire things into other people. And I think if if you as long as you inspire yourself and maybe inspire one more person along the way, then like why not, Why not use this platform that we have in the world for yourself.

I was going to say for like to to motivate and inspire other people, but you know what? Like why don't you just use it for yourself? Forget about all the other people that are on it with the like whatever people do on Instagram these days, there's all sorts on there.

And just start making content for yourself because that's what I'm about at the moment. It's like empowering myself, loving myself and in turn, hopefully through some kind of osmosis, energy sharing thing like people get inspired and motivate themselves to love themselves.

It sounds like it's already happened a little bit. Yeah. Cool. So I think we can wrap this up. This has been really great. Thank you for walking into the room and agreeing to just go for it. Very, very courageous of you.

I'm going to give you an opportunity here because I know you wanted to practice something or just share something meditative. And, you know, we can wrap up this episode with whatever that might be. How do you feel about just giving it a whirl?

We can just sit back and and follow a meditation through your meditative voice and you can lead us in whatever way you want to go. Yeah, for as long as you want. OK, well, not too long. Maybe like 10 minutes Max. OK, well yeah, this is not prepared by the way, so.

I know, that's why I was doing it. You can. You can also reject it and say no no I want to do it. OK, I want to do it. Great. OK, there's going to be a meditation slash, just like a thought musing kind of thing. OK, so I'd like you to ground down wherever you may be.

Put that down on a chair or outside. Allow the ground to meet the body and allow the breath to follow. Breathing in all the way to the bellows of the belly and breathing out. And again, breathing in, noticing how the breath feels as it goes up the nostrils, and breathing out.

How are you feeling today? What's most alive for you? Most present? Feeling to them? Positive, negative or neutral, any feeling is perfectly OK. Again, bringing the attention back to the breath. As you breathe in deeply, exhale sweetly.

For me, I love to think about love. The feeling of love. To be loved, not to be loved. Where does love come from? Where can you feel love? Remembering the breath, Breathing in and loving yourself? Breathing out, Allowing others to maybe love themselves. Giving that space, Breathing in again. All of that self love breathing out. All that love for the world and nature around us. A moment or a lesson I most value in life about love is that love comes from within.

There may be people in the world that give you love, and to connect with them creates this fire between the two of you that feels like love. Love is you. You are love. I am love. You can cultivate love wherever you want, whenever you need.

Love can heal, love can inspire. Love can make you cry and smile all at the same time. Take another deep breath filled with love and appreciation for this time you've given for yourself. And breathe out, releasing all that is holding you back from loving yourself.

And another sweet sweet breath into the heart space, filling yourself with love of flow of life and exhaling it out. Allowing that love to penetrate the world around us now as we wrap up this mindful moment that we've had together.

Just want you to remember as you go through life. Each step you take can be taken with love, and for some that might be difficult to understand That the practice of gratitude and love for yourself. There's always a way to go by life with love as a first and foremost.

To finish off, let's just repeat some affirmations together. I am love. My love is enough. I feel love in all walks of life. I trust in love. My love is enough. My love is enough. And when you're ready, when you can feel even a tiny, tiny, tiny little pair of love yourself, or maybe just an aspect of yourself, maybe you can find some love for. For your hands.

Or for your feet. For your hands. For getting you onto this podcast today, you just give a little bit of love to those fingers. And as we open our eyes, we can bring ourselves back to life.
