The art of allowing is essentially what we're talking about. What comes to mind for me? For my experience is the first time I ever heard about it was the secret. Boom, I'm sure a lot of people are like, yeah. I know what that is.

If you don't know what a little book, right? It's a book but for me it was first a documentary. It's like an hour-long, something like that and they interview several people and it very kind of comes across is cheesy and they're showing images of fancy cars and like just Just, you know, think about what you want and you'll get it, you know, just continue thinking about it and it will come your way. So it has somewhat of a bad reputation with some people because it does, it seems fake

and unrealistic. Welcome to the going pro yoga podcast, nugget series. My name is Michael Henry and I'm Byron de Marseille and he's short episodes. We're going to be answering some of the most common questions in the yoga industry so that you can walk away with the answers in a short period of time. That's right.

Michael with each topic, that we choose will be discussing it from two different perspectives, the teacher, and the student. I'll be approaching these questions as a physiotherapist or physical therapist with over 10 years experience, treating some of the most common and complex injuries.

And my guidance will be from the perspective of having taught 7000 classes, roughly 10,000 hours over 10 years. Welcome to our podcast. Welcome in everybody. This is Byron de marsay, just kidding. But this is Byron and I've Michael across the way and I'm leading off this one today. What we're going to be talking about is Law of Attraction who didn't know where we're going to go, okay? Yes sir, we are going to go there. Hmm law of attraction.

What comes up right away. When I say that for you, I'll think of a pole or moving towards myself, I guess or arrows pointing towards me. If you listen to what the last podcast on masculine feminine. But that's what I think about when you say Law of Attraction because when the word attraction, I guess is really what I'm focusing on its attraction is pulling towards me.

So if I want someone's attention, I want to attract Attention. If I don't want to attract money more money in my life, I wanted to come to me these types of things, so I see it as like it coming to me and attraction. And then the law of that is how do we manipulate control or influence that attraction towards us?

Hmm. Okay, I have done extensive research on this topic, so I'm really excited about it actually. So, yes, I think I'll just go into a more People definition well you didn't like mine. Yeah I liked it, I liked it. What I what I read no offense was that you haven't studied a ton of it like now that's it.

No, not at all. It's like the Albert Einstein, quote about, if you don't know something, simply then you didn't say it like that. But if you can't explain it simply you don't know the subject very well, right? And to keep it simple law of attraction is the art of allowing, That's one way to put it just allowing and that you said inward arrows and a bunch of other things that basically said that. Hmm.

But the art of allowing is essentially what we're talking about. What comes to mind for me. For my experience is the first time I ever heard about. It was the secret, but I'm sure a lot of people are like, yeah. I know what that is. If you don't know what a little book, right? It's a book.

But for me, it was first a documentary. Mmm, it's like an hour-long, something like that. And the interview several people and it very kind of comes across is cheesy and they're showing images of fancy cars and like just you know think about what you want and you'll get it you know, just continue thinking about it and it'll come your way. So it has somewhat of a bad reputation with some people because it does it seems fake and unrealistic. So for my experience, I watched

that first at a time before most people had and then I followed it with a timely book called, It's called ask and it is given by Jerry and Esther Hicks. Now, people know this is Abraham Hicks. So there's a story behind them and I won't go into, you can look them up but Jerry passed away and she decided to use the name Abraham Abraham is the the channeling that she's doing. She's channeling the collective.

Consciousness of Abraham during this and it's all stream-of-consciousness, wisdom, directed towards how to stay in a high vibrational State. Meaning how to attract what you want by staying in a high vibrational State noticing, when something is low vibrational noticing when you think that you're attracting what you want when you're actually focusing, possibly focusing on the other like let's say, you want money, Like, this is keep it simple for.

Now, this is how you want money focus on money, focus on money. But you're actually just so scared. Because you don't have any and that emotion is actually carrying over your whole body. Your field is saturated with fear your words and sometimes your thoughts are about, I want money, I want money, I need money, but it's not feeling like you have it. So I did this in our last podcast, but if you just remove the words, it's just a Feeling Again, The Law of Attraction and this it's more about visualizing

and talking. So these words are said it's more likely to create a visual. If you're able to get the visual of the car, the job, the relationship, then you're more likely to feel. So you have to get to the feeling aspect for law of attraction to be effective.

And it's so easy to go in the spiral that takes you out of control. You just as Esther Hicks, will say like a Spinning Disk, she has all these phrases I could get on this high-flying Spinning Disk. That's when she says that she means you're basically identifying with a negative thought you had and now writing it. You're just flying off of the high vibrational state that you were trying to achieve or maybe you had for a short amount of time and now you're off of it,

thus attracting what you don't. So those two things back to back the secret law of attraction in my early early 20s was so profound for me and now I'm 40 and I just had a lot of time to practice it. Think it to feel it. And it's real, it's totally real.

But it's confusing. It is confusing. So I would just ask You know, I would ask you Michael what do you want to attract into your life? This year? Abundance of Money. And Excitement, Joy motion, like kind of more of that higher Vibe. Mmm, okay would be the second one and the only reason why I say abundance first is just because I'm building a home in Bali and there's a lot of money surrounding that topic and conversation and therefore it's on the front of my mind but otherwise My overall being is to

attract or to be to try to call in more emotional excitement and joy, especially coming back from Canada. Where it's winter and it's hibernation the sun isn't there? It's very constrictive, right? So wanting to be more expansive with maybe my emotional experience this year.

So the first thing you said was abundance, so the strategy here is that you can easily change Direction with your energy just by going basic like you did and you could go way more basic than abundance. You could just go into You have you can go into my grandma loves me.

My grandma loves me that changes my direction of momentum a little bit. All right, but the more specific you can get which you started to do as the reasoning came in. Why you wanted these things? You actually bring it more power as well. It takes a little it takes more willingness Readiness to do it to go further and some capacity and how far you can go. But yeah.

Anybody can practice Law of Attraction with the simple stuff in. This is why freaking gratitude man. Gratitude gratitude is the art of allowing. It is the easy it's how you get your momentum to shift and if you can you know it's sad to me that like gratitude and Law of Attraction.

Both have like these stigmas a little bit to some people where it's like, Gosh, gratitude, I want to talk about gratitude again, lot of tracks on my guess this secret. You kidding me. Are you kidding? It's not science or whatever it is.

It's a little sad, but Yeah. I mean you can you can definitely change your momentum and that's all we're looking for. We're not looking to manifest something that day, we're looking to set a tone for our life and to ultimately feel better all the time to feel too.

That's why we're doing the practice you. Why do you want the abundance? Why do you want the money? Why do you want all the Bliss and happiness, feel Joy. You just want at the end of the day, I want to feel different. That's it about it. Yeah.

So all these Is like the car, the job, those things that are superficial, it is just coming down to a feeling so you, if you can figure that out, wrap your mind around it, then it makes sense, then you'll be willing to go for it.

So then you can just be driving your car. Your motorbike riding in the subway, whatever you do. You can practice this at any time and it's a game changer when it hits you at first at first because you will spend, you'll be doing this in public. When you're not being spoken to maybe even you'll learn how to do it, when being spoken to.

But yeah, you'll just do it all the time. I got a spare moment, I've got 30 minutes, I'm feeling a little something that like that fear creeping in. Okay, let's try it. Okay. I'm going to start to imagine sitting in that car, that's not gonna do it but what if you're grateful, what if you just start by being like I'm so grateful that I got to experience that deep conversation with a stranger earlier today.

Let's just say I'm so grateful that that they shed light on that that thing and now I feel gosh I feel so lucky. That stranger really has a hard time. I feel really lucky. Do you shifted your momentum? Now you can go deeper into what you want.

What do I want? What do you want? Such a simple question. That's a deep question and it's very hard to answer for most people. So yeah I asked you what you want and if you went we went far as far as to realize that you just want to feel those feelings feel different about it. Yeah.

So I have some notes that I'm going to bring up to kind of complement this in, you know, not being an expert or not having An extensive research like you having recently participated in Tony Robbins, breakthrough challenge which maybe some of, you know, that about that.

But that happened I think last week or so. Anyway, one of the things that he talked about was wasn't so much talking about Law of Attraction, but he was using the words of what we focus on and one of the things that stuck out to me was most of the time or the question is, most of the time, do you tend to focus on what you have?

Or what's missing. And if you focus on what you have, typically you're in the state of that gratitude and appreciation for. And then the other thing that he said to put the icing on the cake is that what's wrong is always available. So then what is Right takes a little bit more to figure that out.

Sometimes it's a perspective sometimes it's getting out of whatever you're doing traveling. The world is a great way to build gratitude for what you have. Especially when you go to a country or a third world location that they don't have as much all of a sudden, you're like, damn, I appreciate clean water coming out of the tap, instead of needing to filter my own water or like wait for the person to deliver the bottles like boom gratitude for water

shift in energy shift in emotional state. So I thought that was really interesting like what what is, what is wrong is always available. So then, what is, right? Yeah. And not to be confused with positive mindset, right?

It's you could say they're similar but there is something that happens is talking to my lovely sister because you're listening, love you, Amanda. And there's a guilt that happens if you practice Law of Attraction, for some people because you feel like you're ignoring the other side.

The fear that you feel is so real to you, that feeling is so real to you, it must be justified. So what happens is people slip into that what he called it the – or whatever. But they slip into a story, they slip into victim possibly, they're the victim.

They want to blame others and they want to justify how they feel and it's real. It's a real, it's really is real because they created that fear within themselves. The only way out of it is to change your energy field gratitude. It's just so simple, so simple but just to be grateful for gosh, you know, the fact that you have a mother, you know? And and that you were born, if you can go into those moments, if you can be grateful for the moment, you can imagine your mother and your father met and

had their first thought. About having sex to have you like how grateful can you you know, basically if you don't if you can think of that. Not feel something. Then you're broken. Yeah, no offense. And I'm not serious about that, but, you know, it's it just says How Deeply you can. You can feel, we are feeling beings and and that's what law of attraction is.

We start in the brain because That's what we understand more, but it leads us to the emotion, and if you switch your emotion around, you can change everything. Mmm. Yeah, you'll start to realize that most of the stress that's happening in your life.

You've created it, you know, and maybe go back to our masculine feminine thing or maybe it's your maybe realize, you're just kind of a pushing too hard, you know? And you need to kind of balance yourself out either way. It's still the same practice just becoming aware.

So what do you think about? And I heard this before and maybe you have already happened but when it comes to the vibrations, talking about energies, talking about state of mind and these types of things I heard somewhere along the lines.

That gratitude is considered one of the highest if not the highest emotional or energetic vibration to be in and then guilt being the complete opposite end of the spectrum on the low end. That's cool. I've never heard that. So I think that what I heard that I was like, okay, cool. So I mean, obviously there's a spectrum of emotions in between those two but to kind of, especially for our human brains to compartmentalize that there is a peak and there is a complete Valley and allows me to

be like, okay if I'm ever feeling guilty, or if I'm ever in this low vibration, how do I increase it? How do I change? It will basically it's what you've been saying this, go to go to gratitude and under this understanding of the High in the low.

It's like, well, if I go to the highest point, right? Aim for the highest point of gratitude, even if I missed the Mark, I'm still going to be somewhere in the middle. It's going to be better than the lowest point. The focusing on that gratitude is a great as simple as it is even if it's challenging for you to like come up with some things. It's a good goal to aim for and and you know, when you cook something in the oven you leave it in for what at the instructions say, 10 minutes, 30

minutes, 45 minutes, you take it out and it's ready. When you have these thoughts, that you're changing to create that emotional shift in practice the law of attraction. You're doing it longer and longer each time, this is the method how to do it. So it's great to be able to feel gratitude, but how long is it before you slip out of it?

So how long can you hold that? Thought that visual, how real can it be come to you? Can you feel not just the feeling but can you actually touch, you know, feel that touch of that person of that material. Thing that you are asking for and can you also be okay with not you know, not feeling guilty because you want something? So, yeah, so that makes me think of gradual progression of change.

Whether it be through, let me meditations. A, an obvious topic because of her, you know, most of us are yoga teachers. I imagine if you have struggled with meditation, you've never done it before. Some people have a really hard time in starting with like one to two minutes. Is all they can do.

And you know, over time I compounds of a sudden, one to two minutes, becomes three to four minutes comes seven to eight minutes, becomes 15 minutes. 20 minutes over however long weeks months years may be right, but that progression is changing your overall being and you're just, you're just meeting yourself where you are. So maybe gratitude for these smaller things in a short period of time.

Even though it doesn't feel like you're hitting the mark, You're Still creating momentum is just small at the beginning. Right? It's the you could think of the same thing as exercise if you don't exercise you don't you know move your body too much. You can't just start going out there and running you know, marathons you're going to have to do a little bit at a time and then that's all you can do and then you have to stop and then you know, you build up on that

and eventually you can do more, you get stronger, you faster, and so on and so forth. And to take it one step, even deeper from a physiological perspective in the brain. I mean, we're pattern, we're creatures of habit. Patterns. Right?

So if we don't have a pattern or a habit, create in our brain, we need to create a new one. And in order to create a new one, we need to develop more neural Pathways towards that pattern or that that habit. In order to do that, it takes time, you need to carve out and I kind of use the the visual of carving out a trench for a pathway so that you can get to the place that you're trying to get to and it, you know, the either the path is very shallow like it's just a little bit of a

divot. Or it's like a Marianas Trench. Like it's a deep deep one. And if you have a deep deep trench, your pattern, your habit is probably really strong. But at the beginning, when you're starting something new, especially even if it's practicing something like gratitude, you're just going to be digging up a little bit, but the divot is where you got to start.

Yeah, I agree. I like that. All we're trying to do here is open up our vessel in a way it. We're doing our best as human beings to cope with all the things that come our way that aren't pleasurable. And we're trying to turn it into a better life experience.

More enjoyable, life experience. The law of attraction is simply a method to do that. And there may not be like data out there that can prove it yet that it actually is taking place. But I assure you, if you practice it, you will definitely notice an energy change in yourself and isn't that enough like maybe, maybe you get.

Don't get those things you asked for, but you might. And at the very least, you changed for the better. Mmm. And over time, I guarantee you, you will find out that you do attract things into your life and I've liked Been a natural manifest Ur, not to say Ike mastered Law of Attraction, right away in life.

But I, I've always kind of manifested things that were unusual. Unusual stories, people always tell me. I just have some weird ones. And I manifesting it and I do believe we're all manifesting our reality when something comes our way.

A lot of that stuff, there is a just there is something happening within us that created it that shifted it. I'm not saying like, you know, terrible things that happen in the world, we deserve it. I don't see, we deserve anything bad, we don't deserve it but we're creating it.

I do strongly believe that. So, yeah, I guess, you know, probably approaching the end of it, but I strongly suggest picking up some of that. Esther Hicks, Abraham Hicks. Maybe that first one asking it is given it gives you like principles to understand about us like we are a physical extensions of source energy. They repeats this many times in the book just so you get the language because if you can give you can get the language down, language, gives it meaning

actually heard that from Tony Robbins to. So language gives things meaning which Things become more meaningful, when something is more meaningful, what happens? We feel more emotion behind it. So if we can find literature that has a really sophisticated way of like giving us, Kind of reference points like so typical of sources.

Sorry. Physical extensions of source, energy? Boom. I know exactly like. Oh, that's right. I am just a physics to extension of God, or I am a physical extension of universe, or wow. Okay, I'm like an antenna. I'm like, an antenna just walking around this little conductor, this earth, like kind of just like, what am I trying to attract here? What do I want it out of my life and we get so freaking polluted, and with our negativity in our thoughts, that we are drowning, We can't even see it game is see

how magnetic we are. So, I'm passionate about this subject and I'd love to go on further. But you know, I'll leave it at that for today. We can call it Part 1. Now, that's true. We can always go back to it and go back to it.

Yeah, we just need feedback. We need to know. Is this interesting enough that you want to hear us? Talk more about it? Yeah. Oh, leave it up to you guys. Always. And if you're like nah, then we'll probably won't hear anything. See you gotta speak up.

Yep. Cool. Awesome house great. Definitely learned a few things concerns and considering I didn't really have that much depth knowledge in it, so I appreciate the simplicity. In which you explained it and I think it came together quite nice. Thanks so much for listening everyone. If you guys have any questions or anything like that and as always, you can reach out to us either personally on Instagram or you can always send us an email or go to the website and I'm sure there's ways you can do

that. That's it for me Byron. I'm just trying to manifest a big ol fat, watermelon right now. Well we can go do that. Okay, awesome. Hey, one more thing I couldn't be just more proud of what we've put together for yoga teachers.

Mean this one-of-a-kind teaching platform, essentially a tool box so the teachers can be more confident and give them a structure to be better teachers and I'm helping others on a global scale doing this. I mean, dude, The Blood Sweat and Tears we put into it, no one will ever see, but I'm so excited about I'm pretty excited about it as well.

Well actually even though you can't really tell my voice now it's super cool. And I think it's because I feel tired from putting it together to be honest. But nonetheless it's something that I use as a new teacher and it's helped me so much with that structure, you know, to have something to follow along to know what to say.

And I mean, you can go into details of what's involved with like our little priority queuing system and these sequencing chunks. But at the end of the day, what's what's the result? The result is just you're going to be a better teacher by using this platform.

You're going to be more For that by using this platform you're going to learn how to be more effective more safe with your career as a yoga teacher assuming that. That's what you want to do. Yeah, it just blows me away that it doesn't exist already. I know in at least in a way that I can find and that's put together in a simple way.

I know yoga has been around for so long. People have tried so many times but to have the level of experience that you I Paul all have and then to sit and put in that work to actually tailor it not to hire other people to do it mean. It's customized to be as authentic as possible. So it's a now I get more serious because I'm like, I know how well, this is gonna work, right?

Well, it's made by yoga teachers for yoga teachers. Who I like that, right? That's what it is. Yeah, it's true. It's a supportive Community. It's what we're trying to put together. Absolutely. And it's hot. How would someone do it? Well, honestly, the easiest way to get started by just even checking it out because you just go to going pro yoga.com and you can create an account for free and just explore it. You can see what exists already in a limited capacity and if it's something that you're like,

damn this is pretty cool. I want more of this than there are more options for that as well, but ultimately, you can just do that going pro yoga.com create an account for free.
